Rae Shearn has been a well-known attorney in the legal field for over 35 years. She started practicing law in 1999, opening offices in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties in the state of Florida. As a criminal defense lawyer, she obtained the authority to defend people facing the death sentence in 1999. Shearn has always put her clients through the wringer as a defense attorney, no matter how severe the allegations were. Rae Shearn was a professional dancer before pursuing a legal career. After 20 years of dancing, she became a member of the Royal Ballet of the United Kingdom.
Rae Shearn has been known as a Client Champion since opening her own law firm. As a criminal defence attorney in private practice since 1997, she has mostly focused on the death penalty defence. In 2021 and 2022, Shearn was named one of the top 100 trial lawyers in the United States. Rae Shearn, Alpha Phi Sigma's legal counsel, has worked in the criminal justice profession since 1997. Since the beginning of the year, she has been on the board of the Miami Florida Criminal Defense Attorneys. She has been a member of the FACDL from the start of her professional career.
Rae Shearn's charitable work earned her the Broward County Women's Distress Award. The award is offered to persons who have volunteered in their community. She still performs for Put Something Back at no expense to the customer in some instances. The goal of this endeavor will benefit those who cannot afford a lawyer. Rae Shearn has also changed Florida's death penalty statutes.
